School Programs

Preschools and Daycares--elective class: Trained Music Together teachers bring music and movement into a 45-minute after-school elective, where we handle all the registrations for you. We shake the kids' sillies out at the end of the day!

Preschools and Daycares--year-round classroom curriculum: Trained Music Together teachers bring music and movement into the regular preschool class day, tying content into the ongoing thematic curriculum. Caregivers and classroom teachers love the expansion of their song repertoire and crave the developmental information that we provide informally and through inservice workshops.

Colleges and graduate schools: Julia Priest, M.S., M.Mus., presents a two-hour or a three-day workshop on research-based, developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood music and movement.


FitRhythms®

A revolutionary new aerobic fitness program that combines live drumming and dance into an exciting, uplifting and effective work out! It is a non-competitive program that fosters community, creativity and mind/body wellness through the process of group music making and movement. FitRhythms® is approved by the American Council on Exercise and proven effective through independent clinical research. Julia leads this as a dancing, maraca-shaking, drum-beating jam session!

June, Summer, and December Sessions: we make our own CD and songbook, featuring our own teachers Julia, Maddie, David, and Josh! Not available anywhere else.

Community-building: Julia teams up with other trained Music Together teachers to headline your stroll-a-thon, village festival, school event, corporate party, festival, preschool family night, or a high-energy library singalong. Programs can be tailored to any theme. Check it out at Newton Community Farm Harvest Festival, Sunday, October 26th, 1-4 pm! (exact time-slot TBA.)

Celebration and Worship: Julia leads sabbath services and pajama jams in temples for families with babies and young children. Julia creates and leads original liturgy such as a women's pre-Passover Seder. Julia can customize and facilitate a holiday celebration or service for your temple, or perform music from the operatic/cantorial tradition for your church or synagogue.
